The location is undeniably its strongest suit-situated right in the heart of Florence, essential shops and attractions are just a short walk away. This made exploring the city much easier. I faced some challenges upon arrival. Despite having a reservation, the reception staff initially claimed there were no rooms available, which led to quite a chaotic situation requiring police assistance. This left me quite frustrated and ultimately resulted in lost time and additional costs for alternative accommodations. On a more positive note, once settled, I appreciated the private bathroom's functionality, although a shower door was broken. The cleaning staff were efficient, handling trash without disturbing personal items. the hotel provided basic amenities like free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. While the hotel certainly has potential with its prime location, it lacks in customer service and some housekeeping elements. If you're considering Ferdinando, weigh the exceptional location against potential service hiccups for a balanced stay.
